ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) has green signalled the conduction of professional exams, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood said on Thursday. "Please apply to Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Islamabad with details of exam centres, number of students and SOPs to be followed," the education minister wrote on Twitter. He further said that if all arrangements are satisfactory permission will be given promptly. Those employees who already get special allowances will not be eligible. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday announced a 25% special allowance for grade 1 to 19 government employees who previously did not receive any allowances in addition to their salaries.  Taking to Twitter, the CM wrote that the decision will come into force starting June 2021. "The decision has been taken in order to reduce the pay gap among government employees working in different departments and improve their economic condition," wrote Buzdar. Prior to finalising the increment, Usman Buzdar had rejected a suggestion of giving 10 to 15 per special allowance to the employees. 'Kurulus: Osman': Episode 59 breaks records

  Makers of the historical TV series "Kurulus: Osman" on Thursday said that the latest episode of the show was "at the top of ratings and social media" on Wednesday. The series, which tells the story of Usman Bey, the founder of the Ottoman Empire, is the sequel to hit TV series "Dirilis: Ertugrul". It's aired by a Turkish language channel every Wednesday before it is translated into other languages. "Dirilis: Ertugrul" is being aired in Pakistan with Urdu dubbing on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.  "Kurulus: Osman" started airing with Urdu dubbing on Geo TV during the month of Ramadan.

The cricket star on Thursday shared touching verses from a poem expressing support for Gaza victims and ensuring them that they are not alone in their fight against oppression . یہ پیغام ارض فلسطین کے بچو تمہارے لئے ہے یہاں دور بہت دور ہیں ہم، مگر یہ دل ہمارے دھڑکتے ہیں تمہارے ساتھ، اسی طرح جس طرح سے ہمارے آبا اور ان کے آبا کے دل، تمہارے اجداد کے ساتھ دھڑکتے تھے دکھ، اندیشہ، خوف اور فکر کی تمام گرہیں عارضی ہیں غم کی تمام راہیں عارضی ہیں!
